BLOG 3: GAMIFIED LEARNING WITH QUIZZIZ (constructive tool)
QUIZZIZ is an interactive, gamified learning platform centered on building quizzes to assess students learning. in addition to traditional, multiple choice quiz types, quizziz also offers a wide variety of customizable options to create quiz questions tailored to the assessment level, subject matter, or desired response types. quizziz can be used to create interactive lessons, polls, surveys, and even memes that can be embedded into a quiz or lessons.
QUIZZIZ is a self-paced quiz platform that brings game-like excitement into assessments. i used it to revise "food chain" with young learners (i went to teach some small monks in Satsham and used quizziz to teach them about food chain but since i lost the initial quizziz question paper i made a new one). they enjoyed the game and they interacted with me a lot. they said that they had so much fun answering the multiple choice questions that was timed and it was also accompanied by fun music and photos. the colorful interface and instant feedback made the review session more exciting and educational.
what impressed me the most about quizziz was its ability to provide automatic grading and detailed analytics. i could immediately identify which questions were most challenging and plan remedial activities accordingly. students loved competing but could also redo quizzes at their own pace, making the experience low pressure and supportive.
a limitation i noticed was the need for individual devices and good internet connection. in rural settings, they might be a challenge. to overcome it, i plan to use quizziz in pairs or small groups when device availability is limited.
aligned with the TPACK framework, quizziz effectively combines pedagogy, content, and technology. it makes assessment fun, fast and informative. i have realized that gamified tools like quizziz can increase motivation and deepen understanding, especially young learners.
QUIZZIZ is a constructive tools as it emphasizes feedback, self-paced learning, and remediation through analytics. it also demonstrates how the tool supports constructive learning by helping both teacher and students improve based on quiz results.
(i was not able to download the folder so i took a snap of the question papers and included here)
